Sleep Tracking Accuracy across Wearable Devices: Luna vs. Whoop vs. Samsung vs. Oura Ring
Introduction
Sleep tracking accuracy is a crucial factor in evaluating wearable devices. To compare sleep tracking performance, we analyzed data from Luna, Whoop, Samsung Watch, and Oura over a set period. This report evaluates how closely these devices align in measuring sleep start, sleep end, REM sleep, and deep sleep, highlighting key insights and discrepancies.
Sleep Start and End Time Analysis
The following graphs compare sleep start and end times across devices, showing how closely they align over multiple days. Most devices recorded sleep start times within the range of 10:00 PM to 2:30 AM, and wake-up times varied between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
